Equipment, structured as funds

Every jobsite runs on rented equipment, from earthmoving machines to power, lighting and pumps. Reborn Rental structures diversified fleets of that equipment into closed-ended alternative investment funds, and the Reborn Developments platform is where those funds are presented.

The model

From single machines to a structured fund

Construction equipment is a physical, working asset. It is delivered to jobsites, rented by contractors, serviced and inspected, often many times over its working life.

Rather than treating each machine on its own, Reborn Rental structures multiple pieces of equipment across several product lines into alternative investment funds. Each fund holds a defined fleet, and that fleet stays in active service under Reborn Rental's operations.

Fractional ownership describes the structure: a fund is divided into interests, rather than any one person owning a single machine outright.

Ownership options

One machine, or a share of a fleet

Owning a single machine

  • In your name. The machine is yours, titled and registered to you.
  • Managed by Reborn Rental. Storage, delivery, rentals, maintenance and inspections are handled by our team.
  • On our fleet. Your machine works the same jobsites as the rest of the Reborn Rental fleet.

A fractional interest in a fund

  • Hands-off. There is no individual machine to choose, title or keep track of. The interest is in the fund as a whole.
  • More diversification. Exposure is spread across several equipment types instead of one.
  • Defined term. Funds are closed-ended, with a set term and a planned exit when it ends.
  • Reported on. Fund activity is documented in regular, standardized reports.

Structure

How an equipment fund comes together

  1. Step 1

    Pool

A closed-ended fund is formed with a fixed size and term, and its capital is pooled in one vehicle.

  2. Step 2

    Acquire

The fund acquires a fleet across several product lines, each selected from customer demand and utilization data.

  3. Step 3

    Operate

Reborn Rental runs the fleet day to day: rentals, delivery, maintenance and safety inspections.

  4. Step 4

    Report

Fund information and reporting are presented on the Reborn Developments platform.

  5. Step 5

    Exit

At the end of the fund term, the equipment is sold and the fund winds down under its governing documents.

Fund characteristics

Built to be understood

Closed-ended

Each fund has a fixed size and a defined term. The fleet it holds is set when the fund is formed.

Carefully selected fleet

Product lines are chosen deliberately from what contractors rent most and struggle to find locally, not bought at random.

Operated in-house

The same Reborn Rental team that serves contractors every day runs the equipment, from dispatch to inspections.

Detailed reporting

Investors receive ILPA-aligned quarterly reports, US GAAP financial statements, detailed fund financials and annual tax documents.

Reborn Developments

The Reborn Developments platform

Reborn Developments is the platform where users can see the Funds. Each fund has its own page describing how it is structured and the equipment it holds, alongside its governing documents and ongoing reporting, separate from the day-to-day rental checkout on this site.

OSHA · Chief Safety Liaison

Same fleet, same standards

Every unit answers to OSHA

One fleet

Equipment held in a fund is not set aside. It works on the same jobsites, under the same dispatch and maintenance processes as the rest of the Reborn Rental fleet.

One inspector

Fleet inspections are run the same way for every unit, with OSHA, our Chief Safety Liaison, keeping his usual discerning eye on the yard.
