Chute

The chute is the hinged, sliding trough attached to the back of a concrete mixer truck that channels wet concrete from the drum to the pour location. Most trucks carry both a fixed chute and one or more extendable sections.

After a pour, the chute is rinsed to remove residual concrete before it hardens — this rinse water, along with drum washdown, is one of the primary sources of concrete washout on a typical job.

Compiled by the Reborn Rental team, backed by our field engineers and dispatch staff working Denver-metro concrete washout and equipment rental jobs.
