Densifier (Concrete Hardener)

A densifier, or concrete hardener, is a penetrating chemical treatment — commonly a silicate or siliconate — that reacts with residual free lime in hardened concrete to form additional hard, insoluble compounds within the surface pores. The result is a denser, more abrasion-resistant, less dusty surface, often used as a step in polished concrete floors.
