Concrete Washout

Concrete washout is both the process and the resulting wastewater of rinsing concrete residue out of chutes, pump lines, hand tools, and mixer drums after a pour. Left unchecked, washout water and slurry are highly alkaline (commonly pH 11–13) and can kill vegetation, harm aquatic life, and violate stormwater permit conditions if they reach soil, storm drains, or waterways.

Most jurisdictions and general contractors require washout to be captured in a dedicated container — such as a steel washout pan — rather than discharged onto the ground or into a temporary pit.

Reborn Rental supplies 310- and 441-gallon washout pans with scheduled swap-and-haul service across the Denver metro, sized for everything from a single subcontractor crew to a full heavy-civil pour schedule.

Compiled by the Reborn Rental team, backed by our field engineers and dispatch staff working Denver-metro concrete washout and equipment rental jobs.
