Construction General Permit (CGP)

A Construction General Permit (CGP) is the standard type of NPDES permit covering stormwater discharges from construction sites, typically those disturbing one acre or more. Rather than negotiating an individual permit for every project, sites obtain coverage under the CGP by filing a Notice of Intent and preparing a SWPPP.
