Factor of Safety

Factor of safety is the ratio between a structure's or material's actual failure capacity and the maximum load it's expected to experience in service — a built-in margin that accounts for material variability, construction tolerances, and loads not fully anticipated in design.

Compiled by the Reborn Rental team, backed by our field engineers and dispatch staff working Denver-metro concrete washout and equipment rental jobs.
