Concrete Glossary

Falsework

Falsework is a temporary support structure — typically shoring towers, beams, or scaffolding-like framing — used to hold formwork, equipment, or an unfinished structure in place during construction, most commonly seen supporting elevated bridge decks or suspended slabs until the concrete cures enough to be self-supporting.
