Fiber-Reinforced Concrete (FRC)

Fiber-reinforced concrete (FRC) contains short, discrete fibers — steel, synthetic (polypropylene, nylon), or glass — mixed throughout the batch. Fibers help control plastic shrinkage cracking and add post-crack toughness, and in some applications (like certain slabs-on-grade) can supplement or replace portions of conventional rebar or welded wire mesh.
