Honeycombing

Honeycombing is a surface or near-surface defect where hardened concrete shows visible voids and exposed coarse aggregate, resembling a honeycomb pattern. It typically results from inadequate vibration during placement, overly stiff mixes, or congested rebar that trapped air and blocked paste from fully encasing the aggregate.
