Hydraulic Conductivity

Hydraulic conductivity measures how easily water moves through soil, aggregate, or another porous material, typically expressed in inches or centimeters per hour. It's a key input for designing infiltration-based stormwater BMPs, sediment basin drawdown times, and underdrain systems — sites with low-conductivity clay soils need different controls than free-draining sandy sites.
