Maturity Method

The maturity method estimates a concrete element's in-place strength by tracking its temperature history over time (its "maturity") rather than relying solely on companion test cylinders broken in a lab. Because strength gain depends on both time and temperature, a maturity curve — calibrated for a specific mix — can predict when a slab or wall has reached the strength needed to strip forms, open to traffic, or continue construction.
