NOI (Notice of Intent)

A Notice of Intent (NOI) is the application filed with a state or EPA regulator to obtain coverage under a general NPDES construction stormwater permit before land-disturbing activity begins. It typically identifies the site, its size, and its planned discharge points, and is paired with a project-specific SWPPP.
