Post-Tensioning

Post-tensioning reinforces concrete by threading steel tendons through ducts cast into a slab or beam, then stressing (tensioning) and anchoring them after the concrete has hardened. The resulting compression helps counteract tensile stresses in service, allowing longer spans and thinner sections than conventionally reinforced concrete.
