Prefabricated Washout Structure

A prefabricated washout structure is a manufactured, ready-made containment unit — most commonly a steel pan, but also available as portable poly tanks or bag-style systems — used to capture and hold concrete washout water and slurry on a jobsite, as opposed to a site-built washout pit dug into the ground and lined with plastic sheeting.

Compared to a dirt pit, a prefabricated structure is watertight by design, doesn't degrade or puncture the way plastic sheeting over an excavated pit does, and is easy to relocate as work progresses across a site — all of which make it a more reliable way to satisfy a SWPPP's washout containment requirement during inspections.

Reborn Rental's 310- and 441-gallon washout pans are prefabricated washout structures, delivered and swapped on a project's own pour schedule across the Denver metro.
