X-Ray / Radiographic Testing

X-ray (radiographic) testing is a non-destructive testing method that uses radiation to image the internal condition of a material — commonly welds in rebar splices or post-tensioning anchorages, and sometimes concrete itself — without cutting into or damaging it.

It's a specialized, less common inspection method compared to visual inspection or ultrasonic testing, typically reserved for critical structural connections where an internal defect would be otherwise undetectable.
