Turbidity

Turbidity measures water clarity by quantifying how much suspended sediment scatters light passing through a sample, reported in NTUs (nephelometric turbidity units). It's often used as a quick field indicator of water quality at a stormwater outfall, since high turbidity generally correlates with high sediment or washout-related pollutant loading.
